Where are we

CTIA’s three state-of-the-art campuses are based in Pretoria (Centurion), Cape Town (Stellenbosch) and Durban. Each campus is fully equipped with training kitchens, administration offices, a student relaxation area, secure parking and free Wi-Fi.

1003 Saxby Avenue, Eldoraigne, Pretoria

The school’s flagship campus is situated in Centurion, between the main cities of Pretoria and Johannesburg. It houses the school’s head office and has three large training kitchens, as well as three theory lecture rooms. A shuttle service to and from the Gautrain station is available for all students. Also known as the Jacaranda City, South Africa’s capital city is prettiest during the spring months – when the purple-blossomed jacaranda trees are in full splendour.

The Vineyard, Building A, 2nd Floor, Suite AS-02, 1 Devon Valley Road, Stellenbosch

The Western Cape campus – our newest – can be found in the buzzing student town of Stellenbosch. Located in the heart of the Stellenbosch winelands, the campus boasts two modern practical kitchens and two theory classrooms. A picturesque town known for great food and wine, Stellenbosch is also rich in history. The town is small enough that the entire centre can easily be covered on foot, making commuting in the student hub easy and accessible.

18 Bute Road, Windermere, Durban

Our Durban campus is located in the suburb of Windermere. With its long stretches of sandy beaches, balmy air and the warm Indian ocean, Durban is popular among outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy its all-year temperate climate. The Durban campus is situated close to the hustle and bustle of the city centre, where public transport is readily available at all times. This campus has two training kitchens and a theory lecture room.

What's in store

for 2020

CTIA is growing

CTIA is forming new partnerships to keep offering cutting-edge qualification

In South Africa, all culinary schools have to align with the revised skills development strategy of the Organising Framework for Occupations. The revised strategy, which is in line with international trends and best practices, includes the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO). CTIA is proud to have been part of the development team for this programme; and we are fully accredited with the QCTO. Our newest offering is the QCTO-accredited programme called “Occupational Certificate: Chef”.

In terms of our internationally accredited offerings, CTIA has forged a brand new partnership with the Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality (CTH) – a UK-based education organisation with global reach.  Our exciting new CTH-accredited programmes, which CTH developed in partnership with professional chefs and renowned institutions – including Gordon Ramsay and his Tante Marie Culinary Academy. These programmes perfectly complement CTIA’s commitment to providing a cutting-edge education, and all the skills, experience and confidence needed to be ‘industry ready’ upon graduation.

CTIA Gives students access to unique opportunities accross the globe

  • Once students have successfully completed the QCTO-accredited Occupational Certificate: Chef programme, they qualify to enrol for a Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts from the Business & Hospitality Management School (BHMS) in Lucerne, Switzerland. Our exclusive partnership with BHMS means it has never been easier for CTIA students to kick-start an international career.
  • CTIA also has an exclusive partnership with the NH Hotel Group, one of the biggest hotel groups in Europe. Our students are afforded the opportunity to do a paid internship in Europe in various capacities – from working in Michelin-starred restaurants to business stay hotels.
  • Students who complete a one-year Professional Programme in either Culinary Arts or Pastry and Confectionary are also given a chance to launch a career abroad, through our carefully vetted travel-service partner of choice; OVC, Placemet International and Workaway International. Whether you dream of working on a cruise ship in the Caribbean, or see yourself in a fast-paced international city, OVC, Placemet International and Workaway International will help CTIA students to streamline their path to international success.
