City & Guilds have thousands of qualifications that have been developed in conjunction with key organisations in 28 industries. That’s why they are recognised by employers worldwide. They are available at all levels, from entry level to the equivalent of a postgraduate degree, and so offer clear pathways to support centres and leaners to achieve success.

The international qualifications offer learners great opportunities for career development as well as progression into higher and professional education. This approach guarantees that our qualifications are valued by employers throughout the world. All CTH Approved Teaching Centres worldwide undergo a stringent accreditation process, both prior to approval and each year thereafter, to ensure they achieve suitable quality thresholds to enable effective delivery of our programmes.

CTH has strong links with the industry, with relationships and endorsements from organisations such as Virgin Atlantic Airways, GTMC, Star Alliance, Marriot Hotels Caribbean, Radisson Edwardian, Sheraton Hotels, Mantis Collection, Adair Leadership, The Intercontinental Hotels Group and many others. /

Located in the heart of Lucerne, a vibrant and beautiful city in Switzerland, the Business Hospitality Management School (BHMS) is one of the world’s leading hospitality schools. A first-of-its-kind partnership between CTIA and BHMS opens up a world of new opportunities for students, as it allows those who have completed the QCTO accredited Occupational Chef Certificate with CTIA to further their studies abroad at this prestigious Swiss school.

Upon completing the 36-month Occupational Certificate: Chef course at CTIA, students may enrol for a fourth and final year at BHMS (based in Switzerland) to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts. The course builds on students’ existing culinary competencies and experiences to deepen and hone practical, leadership and business skills.

Highlights include inter-disciplinary management of food service operations, which also include sought-after skills such as customer service, resource planning and management. New product development, molecular cuisine, technology applications and managing teams in the kitchen labs, provide additional capstone learning before students progress to their final industry training and job placement. As part of the course, students will also undertake a paid six-month-long internship, with remuneration in Swiss Francs. This is a guaranteed placement upon enrolment at BHMS.
