The Undergraduate Programme in Tourism Management combines practical career-based elements with the essential management disciplines that underpin this dynamic industry. It aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the Global Tourism and Hospitality Industry and operational aspects such as travel and tourism operations and supervision, as well as travel geography and destination analysis. As people are always at the centre of any hospitality business, there’s also a strong focus on customer service. This programme prepares you for careers such as international travel consultant, travel information officer, tour operator, tour guide, travel agent or travel reservations agent.
This programme allows for career progression into supervisory and first line management positions. Since the Level 4 Programme is designed to be broadly equivalent to that of the first year of a bachelor’s degree, students may use the qualification to apply for credit entry to a number of bachelor degree programmes at selected international universities abroad.
12 Months e-learning and textbook studies based on 5-10 study hours per week.
You will have 24 months to complete the programme.
This programme is delivered as a blend of e-learning and textbook studies.
Students who do not have the required tools and infrastructure for the e-learning component, will therefore be able to study this course off-line. You must, however, have access to a PC or notebook and email communications to complete and submit assignments.
